Small Soldiers is a nicely animated video slot game online with a cartoonish military theme. It is more of a boot-camp theme since there is no real battle action. The graphics are outstanding but the lack of animations can get somewhat boring. The video sequences are not that long and very small on the screen. Plus the bonus round in terms of entertainment and winnings is not that worthy; yet a game worth recommending and talking about here. Here are all the details from our try-out.

Graphics

The level of detail is incredible. Take a good look at everything in the game and you will start noticing some very interesting stuff – fine details. The outline of the reels are military ropes with knots, the tanks and military vehicles around the base camp are super cool, but my favorite is the tower guard on the side of the reel that starts to get sleepy when no combinations happen for a while. The military band song is entertaining and catchy and the reel sounds are not that annoying; which is a plus if you play the game for a while now. The characters in the reel are somewhat animated, but they do not get to do much. The wild card is a sergeant that shouts orders and will multiply 2x your winnings. But aside from the wild card, there was not much video action to keep the bets going.

Bonuses

Unfortunately Small Soldiers slots is not a big bonus video slot. There is no jackpot, and the bonus round is incredibly hard to activate. It took us more than 200 spins to finally do so. The wild card is more recurrent and it multiplies 2 times your winnings. It is represented by the well-known shouting sergeant, “give me 30 push-ups girls!” The wild card acts as a joker and replaces any other card on the reel except the scatter symbol which is the soldier with the RPG. The wild card makes combinations a lot easier to happen when it shows up, thus allowing you to win more - easily.

Free spins are activated with three wild cards which are the pilots. Three pilots gives you six free spins and a 2x multiplier, 4 pilots gives you nine free spins and 3x multiplier, and 5 pilots gives you twelve free spins and 4x multiplier for your winnings. We only got 6 free spins and where lucky to activate the bonus round just before they ended with no combinations.

The Target Range Feature Game, the bonus round, was incredibly hard to activate. To do so you need a combination of at least three RPG soldiers, who finally fire the weapon. When we finally did, the control tower turned the alarm on and a message popped-up on screen sending us into a “training mission”. The bonus stage consist on three very easy levels, we could not find any real difficulty in passing all three. They consist on shooting targets and each target hides a different payout. Hit three and “Collect” appears on the screen with your stage results: Level 1: Soldier targets

You are a sniper in a bunker shooting hidden soldiers. Very easy, hit three and activate the second level. Level 2: Tank targets

Shoot down three tanks on a base field with a rocket launcher. No problem here, larger targets even. Level 3: Plane targets

With an anti-air missile RPG, shoot down three planes. This was actually our best performance stage, thanks to the practice I guess. Our final payout for completing the bonus round did not fulfill our expectations, bummer there, still this online slot game is very talked about.

So do we recommend Small Soldiers Slots??

It is an entertaining slot game indeed, but it lacks some real excitement. Plus the small payout from the bonus rounds and the difficulty to trigger them makes its hard to win big cash here. We recommend finding another slot with higher payouts if you are all about the money; however, give it a try, it will still be fun, and you can even practice it with play money before compromising real cash.
